Greetings from the President

Hiroyuki Omote, President and Chief Executive Officer

Hello everyone. My name is Hiroyuki Omote, President of JCAM Agri.
We would like to introduce our business and its features to you. Our business is centered on the development, manufacture, and sale of "coated fertilizers" with high functionality.
Coated fertilizers are fertilizer granules of urea or chemical fertilizers coated with a special film. The coating technology, which is one of our strengths, allows us to precisely control the timing of fertilizer elution, making it possible to apply fertilizer at the timing necessary for crop growth, reducing environmental impact by improving fertilizer use efficiency and saving labor significantly by reducing the number of fertilizer applications.
Our strength lies in this "product power" of coated fertilizers that are gentle to both crops and people. By responding to detailed needs that are difficult to meet with ordinary fertilizers, we are able to provide the best fertilizer application methods for various farms and their respective crops. This combination of functionality and adaptability in our fertilizer technology is the foundation on which we support Japanese agriculture and contribute to sustainable food production. Our technology is also highly regarded overseas, and we are gradually expanding our sales overseas.
With this strength in coated fertilizers, we will continue our research and development for further technological innovation. Through this innovation, we promise to continue to provide better products, always looking to the future of agriculture. The new challenge for fertilizers in the future is to incorporate technologies that are in harmony with the ecosystems that surround us. One is to provide fertilizing effects that suit the growth of crops. Another is to avoid negative environmental impacts.
In other words, the fertilizer must be friendly to both crops and people.
JCAM Agri is working to develop new fertilizers to meet these demands and has already launched several products. These efforts are the backbone of JCAM Agri's management, and our corporate concept is to continue to advance along this path.

history

Company History

Ltd., which developed and introduced Japan's first lime nitrogen (1908) and synthetic ammonium sulfate (1914). Ltd. and Asahi Kasei Corporation, we have always been a pioneer in the field of chemical fertilizers.

  • July 1969 Chisso Asahi Fertilizer Co., Ltd. established as a fertilizer sales company of Chisso Corporation and Asahi Kasei Corporation.
  • April 2002 Mitsubishi Chemical Agri Corporation is established by separating the fertilizer division from Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation.
  • September 2002 Fertilizer division of Nippon Kasei Co., Ltd. integrated into Mitsubishi Chemical Agri Co.
  • January 2007 Manufacturing and research divisions of fertilizers of Chisso Corporation and Asahi Kasei Corporation merged into Chisso Asahi Fertilizer Co.
  • October 2009 Chisso Asahi Fertilizer Corporation and Mitsubishi Chemical Agri Corporation merge to form JCAM Agri Corporation.
